This morning

FOR TODAY
Outside my window…It feels like Fall. But I’m trying not to get too excited about it.
I am thinking…about my many VERY pregnant friends right now and wishing them love and luck as they complete their journeys.
I am thankful for…this lovely cup of coffee.
From the kitchen…an updated look: store has been relocated and there is, instead, a small table with a small girl eating a large breakfast. I couldn’t love it more.
I am wearing…the usual. Jeans and a polo. It’s a uniform, of sorts.
I am creating…a big mess.
I am going…to just soak it all in today.
I am reading…blogs. Short, quick, and easy to read. That’s about my attention span right now. And Goodnight Moon.
I am hoping…that the week passes quickly as we have a mini vacation this weekend.
I am hearing…kexp and Ryan singing.
Around the house…we’re about to start painting, and have already done tons of little changes.
One of my favorite things…listening to my sweet littlest talk to herself in her crib when she thinks no one is listening.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Some babywearing activity, more packing, cleaning out and painting, and a trip to Port Townsend on Friday.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing…

Outside my window

I like doing these prompts…it helps remind me what it’s really all about on those days I’m having a hard time remembering. If you feel so inclined to share as well, please link your Simple Womans Daybook in the comments, so I can read it too!

FOR TODAY
Outside my window…it’s foggy and cool, but I think it’s going to warm up today.
I am thinking…of ways to do more teaching. I really do love it.
I am thankful for…our home, food on the table, and our health.
From the kitchen…the smell of coffee.
I am wearing…jeans and a handmade top. It’s colorful. I like it.
I am creating…a lot in my head…maybe something in “real” too.
I am going…to start purging the house today.
I am reading…less than I’d like. Eat, Pray, Love is on the list so I can see the movie. Born to Run is also on the list, but I think I need to bring it back to the library. Whoops.
I am hoping…that the crazy settles and it all works out sooner than later.
I am hearing…”Busytown Mysteries” in the background.
Around the house…still tidying, still cleaning, crafting up some organization.
One of my favorite things…a warm up of coffee on a cool morning.
A few plans for the rest of the week: An at home weekend, full of cleaning, purging, movies for the Peanut, naps for Fin, and maybe a trip to the beach with daddy.

Some thoughts for today

I found this via another blog recently, and wanted to share. If you feel so inclined to share as well, please link your Simple Womans Daybook in the comments, so I can read it too!

FOR TODAY
Outside my window…the sun is shining and a breeze is blowing.
I am thinking…about an awful lot, but trying to focus on the moment.
I am thankful for…a sleeping baby in a sling, a big girl happily enjoying her preschool, and a loving husband dutifully at work on such a perfect day.
From the kitchen…we’ll see a yummy steak salad tonight.
I am wearing…jeans and a green t-shirt. Pretty much my mommy uniform.
I am creating…with pictures today. But thinking about creating with fabric, too.
I am going…to go pick up the big girl in a bit.
I am reading…blogs. A cup of coffee and google reader is my new equivalent to sitting down with a newspaper. Maybe I ought to add a “real” news blog or two.
I am hoping…that the crazy settles and it all works out sooner than later.
I am hearing…www.kexp.org on the radio.
Around the house…we’re tidying up, and cleaning out. The walls are starting to close in on mama.
One of my favorite things…getting packages in the mail. Especially ones from my mama with thoughtful things tucked inside.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Beach with friends tomorrow. Babywearing safety event on Saturday. Quiet family day on Sunday (maybe more beach?).
